Is it possible to select multiple e-mails?

I use my Galaxy Ace 2, to collect my Hotmail e-mails.

In the preview window (the first screen that opens when you tap the 'Email' icon) you can see all the e-mails you have.

At this stage, is it possible to select multiple e-mails to then be able to mark them as 'read' or 'delete'?

Hit the hard key bottom left and select delete - then if you have more that one message they will all hve check boxes and you can select all those to be deleted

That answers the 'delete' question perfectly.
That's a function that I may have seen before, but I certainly had not remembered it!

But, is it possible to select multiple e-mails, in order to mark them as 'read' ?

On a previous device (not a Samsung), there was a 'shift' key, that allowed you to select more than one e-mail. If you know what I mean?
