Is it possible to use android device as Wii controller??

I'm trying to make android phone act as the 3d mouse, by using combination of sensors such as accelerometer and orientation.

Is it technically possible to make reliable result with them??? Or do I have to use Gyroscope to do my purpose?

No. The phone does NOT have the same hardware as a wii controller does. Yes, it has an accelerometer, but thats it. There are many other things in a wii controller.

I always thought it would be cool for someone to make an app that would allow the phone to be enough of a controller to work with netflix. All it would need is to emulate a few of the buttons since the motion part of the controller is not needed to work with netflix...
