Is it possible to get all the options texting on the slide keyboard as what you get on the touch screen, ie predicted text.
Having that would be great for texting as I find the touch screen letters to small for me.

I think ... pretty much yes ... you will need to discover the use of menu, alt, shift, long press...key combinations ...

As long as you download one of the enhanced keyboard apps you can select them and use the predictive text that is part of them along with the physical ... the one i use on my Stock G1 is TouchPal ...

Long-press the text box ..
Select Input Method ... then
the specific keyboard app you want to use as the default ...
