Hi everyone, so after I flashed an Aurora ROM Note 4 Port Version 6.1 i felt like I want to switch roms to the Aurora ROM S6 Port Beta 2. Is it safe to switch roms instantly? or are there any steps? i wipe cahce, dalvik cache, factory reset, and what else? please because ive never switched custom roms, just stock roms. please help me :D I'm new..
- Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500

Yup just do exactly what you stated. a data wipe/factory reset may not even be necessary if it's just an update to the rom and the same Android version unless the dev has specified that it's necessary, I'd try without the data wipe then wipe if you encounter any glitches (although it's a beta so there'll probably be some anyway.
Make a nandroid backup of the rom you're on first obviously :thumbsupdroid:
EDIT I just noticed they're ported from different devices so data wipe would probably be wise, sorry

I never knew whats the meaning of AOSP or those techy roms xD. And yes I like Samsung's UI because I liked it ever since I got my first samsung android device in 2012 : GT-S5301. Then I moved to a Nokia phone, it sucked up, then now a Galaxy S4 and I have a Galaxy S5, Tab 4, Note 10.1, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 inch. And no lag whatsoever so yeah :)

Thank u so much :D. I'm gonna do backup now and flash it with cwm on the zip. thank u so much :)

No problem mate.
And aosp roms are based on pure Android like you'd find on a nexus but usually with some cool features built in like theming and are generally very fast.
Unfortunately you lose all the proprietary Samsung apps/features like the excellent camera, multi window etc so probably not for you.
Hope you enjoy enjoy the new rom. If not, just restore your backup and you'll go back to exactly how you left it

Ok thanks :D. I just finished the backup using cwm instead since nandroid didn't work. Time to put it on my flash drive using an otg cable and start the flash. thank u for being so helpful :D
