Is it the screen or digitaliser damager ?

Greetings everyone !

My HTC Desire X fell down, hit an iron pipe and the front part is utterly broken. Its working allright, but I need it replaced and my concern is, whether I should order a new digitaliser or screen ? Its the first layer of the screen.

You can still see it all OK? Then it's not the screen that's gone. It's the front glass that's broken.

Thank you, but Im not sure I understand (mobile newbie here). My friend told me i need to find out whether its the screen (he thinks thats the second layer) or digitaliser (1st layer) so Im just making sure.

I can see everything ok, there is no spilt like liquid...just the glass is broken..:smokingsomb:

It's the front glass and digitiser layer that you need, the first layer. Because if it was the screen busted, the second layer, you wouldn't be able to see much, if anything.

It's a single module, basically it's the front glass that has a tail coming out that connects to the main-board.

It looks like this...

Those flexible tails are extremely fragile as there's a chip on there. So be very careful when handling it.
