Is it too old?

I'm looking to possibly purchase a Nexus 5x, but was wondering if it's too old, and how it's holding up still?

Depends what you need, really. It's still fine so far as I'm concerned but if you need the very latest and greatest - and I suppose some people must - then it's not going to be for you. But then, it probably never was ..

Incidentally, I have a Nexus 5, and it's still working fine. Battery still ok.

I am looking for something that is unlocked so that I can use it on AT&T, and when I travel international. It doesn't have to be the "very latest and greatest," but it needs to hold it's own since I usually keep phones for 2.5-3 years.

Obviously, it depends very much on your usage. I would say it's average - not outstanding but also not awful. It is certainly possible to get a day out of it but not with heavy usage.

On the flip side, you shouldn't underestimate just how much of a game changer the fast charge is: if you can get a 15 or 20 minute charge from a laptop, car or random power outlet while you're on the go, that will generally get the charge right back up there.

I always forget the Quick Charge feature! Thanks for reminding me.
