Is it worth $300?

While I agree this is a SWEET phone, I still don't want to have to pay $300 for something my ascend can already do. A small contract (1yr?) or something like that would be nice, just to drop the price some.

Hopefully, If I have the money, i will be able to buy this phone when it comes out in November.
 
The price for this phone, considering the specs and prices for similar phones, is AMAZING! I'm definitely willing to pay the $300 for this beast.
 
I definitely think the Glory will be worth $300 considering any other phone out there with these specs would cost twice that much. The Moto Triumph is probably the nicest pre paid Android out right now. It costs $300 and it can't hang with the Glory. That said, it doesn't come out until Nov., so who knows what else else be out by then. Lets hope these specs hold up, unlike the Ascend 2, which was announced at 800mhz but ended up only being 600mhz.
And hey, Nov is a long way away. Start putting all of your pocket change in a jar now, and you should have $300 by then! Lol
 
I just looked on craigslist and there are many phones like a Droid X or HTC EVO 4g that are fully flashed to cricket and are only $200. This sounds good, even tho they are "used". And these phones have already been proven, and are from big manufactures, not some unheard of "huawei" brand
 
It all depends on what you're looking for and personal preference. While those phones may be $200 they are also used and may have minor issues. They are also not as powerful as the Huawei Glory. BTW Huawei isn't unknown, it has been manufacturing phones for many companies, including Motorola, but under their names.

yeah, my gf has a flashed windows phone thru cricket. and since it's flashed, her internet and mms both don't work.
 
i almost grudgingly bought the ascend 2. i was waiting in line at the crickret store on my phone browsing the android forum. when i seen something about a ascend glory coming in nov. i googled it and read the specs on it and tore up out that store fast! i'll wait. my ascend 1 aint that bad just the stupid 2.5 headset jack. i just hope that the glory comes with everything they say it does.
 
Im probably going to get mine from the online cricket store seeing as i bought my Indulge for $371 connected at the cricket store out of impulse from paying a $258 ticket from 3years ago. I really hope this phone will be what they say it will be, awesome. Also if theres a big demand for roms and such whereas the Indulge lacks that even though its a Samsung phone, well seeing there two different versions (R910/R915) doesn't help either.

The main problem with the Indulge as far as ROMs is how Samsung made it so hard to deal with. It took them forever just to get it rooted and they actually have some really talented devs working on that phone. So far, the Huawei phones I've seen have been relatively easy to mod. Hopefully the Glory will be as well.
 
Talented devs indeed. As far as roms theirs only for the R910 and coming soon CM7. I'm not all crazy about the roms and such but it would be cool to have options.
Main reason im willing to switch to the glory is because its a 4in screen, which is better than the indulge and hoepfully battery life on glory will be better than the indulge.
 
I agree with everyone else who said its worth $300. Actually I read somewhere, PCmag? That it would be a bit below 300, so 300 is the max I'm guessing. Anyhow, considering that it is a great price, no contract and a beast of a phone. :)
 
That's what they said about the indulge. Under 300 then comes out to be 299 but at actual purchasing it came to 371.
Hopefully its not that ridiculous then again I'm going to purchase it online because there now only one cricket hq in my area. I waited 2hrs just to get my bricked zio looked at then another 15 min for them to reset it and say its not working and another 10 min for them to et the indulge for me.
