is mobile hotspot free now?

I seem to remember the first time I opened the hotspot app on my phone it said it costs 20 dollars a month and then closed. I heard the update refreshed it somehow so I was just glancing around and decided to take a look... well after going through some settings it started, I immediately closed the app afraid I had charged 20 dollars but I am wandering if it still costs if they got rid of the notification that it costs, I thought you had to subscribe to it before you ran it so does that mean it's free now?

Not that I know of...unless you have a Palm (at least, according to a boatload of articles on April 1st that said it wasn't an April Fool's Joke...who knows though).
