Root Is my battery/CPU temp too high?

I was wondering the same thing I have bin running 116-140 on a hot day with Pandora running rooted stock I have seen it 150 I might modify the case I have for cooling the case I'm using seems to hold heat in might drill a couple breathing holes through the case and back cover

I've been having problems this month with overheating yes, I rolled back to stock and it helped a bit. I don't think it's really designed to handle 1.6ghz overclock during the warm season.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem recently. Going back to stock definitely seems to help with overheating and battery drain.

TricksterMOD has a temperature throttle function.
How would that work? Does it start killing processes when CPU gets hot? Also didn't think about it before but I have a high speed charger for my phone so that would probably affect battery temp right?

It throttles down the max speed of the processor.

Yes, faster charging would make the battery heat up more than normal charging, but only while charging.

Is that the same as underclocking?
No. It would be closer in similarity to a restrictor plate for NASCAR. It reduces top speed.
There are a couple of ways to obtain stability and battery life. Underclocking and undervolting are the 2 main ones.

UNDERCLOCKING
The following XDA link will explain UNDERVOLTING it in great detail, even as old as the link is (Dec/2012) it is the most complete. Read the replies to the link too ;)

Decent discussion from Quora.com

And a great comments/answers section (have to register to veiw) to this link. There are informative links within the comments

Important:
Make backups before you start experimenting. Also remember "baby steps" and then stress test.
