Help is my phone knackered?

Charging my DHD via usb tonight, phone wouldn't turn on from standby. The red charging light stayed on when usb cable was removed.

When I took the battery out and tried to restart the phone, there were 4/5 rapid buzzes but the screen remains blank. Happens everytime the battery is removed when attempting to turn it on.

Can't hard reset either

So...is sending it to HTC the only option and whats the warranty? I'm on Orange UK and have had it for almost 18 months

unfortunately, i believe it has moved on to a better place. i searched for this a couple months ago,and couldnt find any threads or resolutions that had worked.

you could try further surching for "desireHD or DHD 5 vibes of death" and similar phrases.

good luck,and be sure to post back if you do find a solution that somehow works!

Thanks for the reply, found a few threads when searching for 5 vibrate or something similar, seems like a common problem however doesn't look like there is a fix for it.

Spoke to HTC this morning who will fix it under warranty which is a good, hopefully won't take too long.

I would be hoping they couldnt fix it, then you may get the One x under warranty

unfortunately they fixed it! took 6 days to get the phone back so top marks to HTC for the quick turnaround.
