Help Is my phone ok? Low benchmark scores

Grime

Lurker
So I got my Galaxy S II a couple of weeks ago. I've seen most people getting scores on Quadrant upwards of 3600+ bone stock however when I run quadrant I can't seem to get higher than the 2700s. Is it possible that I got a slow/defective device? I'm noticing a semi slow framerate (~20fps) in some games that I really don't think I should be getting them (Dragon, Fly! is one of them)

Should I take it back to my T-Mobile store and get a new one? I don't want to have paid $500 for a device that will not let me use it to its fullest because of a manufacturing error.

That's about right. The Sprint/ATT versions with the Samsung processor are getting much higher Quadrant scores. I usually average around 2400-2800 on mine and I tested right out of the box. I've peaked at 3100 however it was probably a fluke.

But the scores I've been seeing have been on the T-Mobile version.

Edit: I would also like to add another problem I've been having. Occasionally when using the keyboard, the keyboard will just stop taking words altogether and close on me, often resulting in me having to reboot the device entirely to get it working again. This doesn't happen too often, I'd say once every other day.

I'm beginning to think I should take it back and exchange it.

Edit 2: I just rebooted and ran Quadrant again and scored a 3861. So I guess it's all over the place. I also downloaded a new keyboard app that will hopefully resolve those problems.

Well yes the T-Mobile one has lower quadrant scores than the other versions but games well in general and has a more game compatability gpu than the Xenos processor versions Wich use the mali 400gpu instead of the adreno220 gpu Wich our phone uses.
