Root Is my Tweakstock up to date??

OK..so, I rooted and installed Tweakstock a few months ago. I actually just realized that my wi-fi wasn't working, so I downloaded and installed the FP1 zip yesterday. It bricked my phone.

To be honest, I'm not sure how I got my phone back, but I did.

Anyway, I'm not sure whether I am running the PBJ kernel anymore with Tweakstock.

When I go to settings, the Basebrand version is i510.06 V.EP4; SCH-I510.EP4 and the Kernel version is 2.6.35.7-EP4.

Am I correct in assuming that this is not the PBJ kernel, but rather the stock kernel?

If so, what do I need to do to get the PBJ kernel and not have it affect my wi-fi w/out bricking my phone!! :-)

That is not the PBJ kernel. It looks like stock or a stock re-package (depends on what you flashed to get your phone back). Since you're on EP4, you can simply flash the PBJ kernel and be fine.

The reason you soft bricked your phone was because you tried flashing FP1 over a custom ROM, which won't work. If you want FP1, you should flash to EP4D stock and take the OTA update. This does mean that you can't use TweakStock, though, since it's an EP4-based ROM. Eclipse has an FP1 version, if you wanted to go that route. In that case, you should flash to EP4D stock, take the OTA update to FP1, and then flash Eclipse 2.0 for FP1. Note that you can't use a custom kernel with FP1 yet, though, without losing your WiFi.

[edit: Damn you dwitherell. Of course you'd post an FP1 version 3 hours after I say one doesn't exist. :p]

Tweaked v1.5 (EP4D - find in original TweakStock threads) and v2 (FP1H) are now posted on both xda and rootz :-)

EDIT: Sorry Cilraaz :-)
