Root Is overclocking the lg g pad 7.0 lte possible?

The tablet is rooted, i can't get the tablet to overclock at all, i know there is a file in the kernel that has a list of speeds it can go to but is there away to bypass that and just give a list of all speeds possible. what overclocking app would 100% work with this tablet. would changing the firmware give me overclocking? what should i do?

Stock kernel I assume?
There are many apps to change the kernel settings such as NoFrills CPU or SetCPu among others.
Word to the wise, be sure to be careful when overclocking (or underclocking for that matter) and make a nandroid backup before fiddling with it.
Do you have a custom recovery?
Also, do not "set at boot" when changing settings (until you know it works and have a backup)...you may bootloop and never get out of it.

i have tried these apps they don't work, it comes up a list of speeds but doesn't go more than the max cpu speed of the tablet. the values that are given are for underclocking, if i change the firmware to cyanogenmod , would that make it overclockable?

If the included kernel supports overclocking, then yes.
Perhaps the stock kernel won't allow overclocking

Hmm, not 100% sure on that...I'm thinking that it's possible if available.
