Is possible to go back to 4.0.4?

I updated my phone to Androd 4.1.2 JB via ODIN almost a month ago. I really like it,the interface and everything but it looks to me that my phone was performing a bit better before the update. I check my Ram status and after clearing memory the used ram will never go less than 600mb and I dont even have much things installed like facebook or messenger that take a lot of ram. I remember it going about 400 before. I also think the battery drains a little bit quicker. So I would like to know if there is a way to get back to 4.0.4 without causing problems and possibly without root? Maybe via odin just like 4.1.2? ( I've been doings mods on my previous phone but I'm still not as good informed as I should be)

In Android, unused RAM is wasted RAM, and "clearing RAM" slows the phone down. RAM: What it is, how it's used, and why you shouldn't care This isn't Windows, where it's your responsibility to keep as much free RAM as possible.

Having a program installed - but not running - uses storage, not RAM.

You didn't give us a model number, so I couldn't look up what versions are available, but have a look at SamMobile Firmwares (Put in the model number, not S2.)

Forgot to mention, I have the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket but I thought you'd know since I posted on Skyrocket section. I understand your point. I know about the apps that don't use ram but storage when not running. What you said that 'unused ram is wasted' I can understan what it meats. But what I mean is that it's slower then before when doing tasks that's why I thought it could be because used ram is bigger than before. I mean, when oppening an app sometimes it takes a lot of time. (not actually quite a lot, but compared to what it should take) and the prob is that leaving it in the background and when returning after some time (even short time) it will load again. Even if this may sound good if its intentionally done by the phone to spare battery, I still find this frustrating a bit, knowing the capacibilities of this phone. Even when opening Settings it will not immediately pop up but usually load.
