Help Is SD card automatically encrypted?

If I l lose my phone can someone access my sd card?

Or is there a way to encrypt it, if it is lost?

Yes, as long as they are smart enough to physically locate and remove it.

I do not know of anyway to encrypt an SD card (but not saying it is not possible).

I do remember some of the security type apps, which help you locate, etc, will allow for remote wipes of the phone, but I do not know if that would apply to the SD card.

No, SD cards aren't encrypted. It would be a great feature though!

Icecold, I think you're right. I'm not aware of any of the remote wipe apps that wipe the SD card.

ok. so the moral to the story is dont keep anything important on the sd card or dont lose the phone. got it.
