If you buy a smart phone you pay plan price plus $10 data fee
If you are a current customer and upgrade to a smart phone you pay plan price plus $10 data fee
If you currently own a smart phone..and change your plan...you pay the plan price plus $10 fee
as of right now the plan prices will not change ...they are just making every smartphone owner pay the premium data fee. Previously only 4g phone owners paid the fee
Actually no, if you simply change your plan and keep the same phone, you do not pay the $10 premium fee. Basically you don't pay the add-on fee until you activate a different smart phone than the one you currently have on the line.
If an existing customer does a rate plan swap only, will they need to pay the $10 Premium Data add-on?
Rate plan swaps do not require the customer to pay the $10 Premium Data add-on if it is not currently on their account. When already on the account, the customer will continue to pay it once on the new rate plan.
