Is the lack of stylus a deal breaker?

The rumors are saying the S6 Edge Plus will not have a stylus like the Note line despite being a phablet. I'm not a huge fan of stylus', but it seems like Note users really like them. Do you think that will steer people away from the Edge Plus?

It is for me, I've got really used to mine. I'm not sure I'd get a phone without one now! I use a Note 4 currently..

The lack of stylus is probably the most obvious way to differentiate between the two products, i.e. the S and the Note series. Samsung has a lot of phones in their range, and many of them very similar, like the complete opposite of Apple.

Not at all. Big phones are the new black. I love the looks of the Edge+. Two curves on the screen, yummy. I just hope we get some more app development to use them. I'n thinking of getting one and a wireless thumb drive for storage. I'll probably make a necklace out of the drive. That will solve the lack of an sd slot problem I have with it.

To my mind the stylus is something that distinguishes the Note series from other phablets.

Without it, if I were in the market for a 5.7"+ phablet then I could buy the Moto X Style for £360, the Nexus 6 for £480 or the Edge+ for £600 (32GB models in each case, with the Moto X having an SD slot). So is the Edge+ was worth paying 1.67 times as much as the X Style for? If you find the stylus important then that question doesn't arise so strongly with the Note.

My wife has the note 2 as a personal phone and note 4 as a work phone doesn't use the S pen with either device

I've personally owned the previous three Notes, and not once did I find myself attached to the Stylus.

Yes, it was nice, but I never sat down to learn about its capabilities. I never once used the 'menu' for the stylus, I'd always use it to type.

The funny thing is, I used the stylus more on the copy/fax machines we use at work than on my device itself. I found the Edge+ to be something new and attractive, and with the Stylus and the Edge being the ONLY differentiation between these two new generations of phones I decided to change it up. I'm thoroughly enjoying the Edge+, and have yet to find myself missing the Stylus of my Notes.

I don't miss the stylus at all, and I'm loving the edge features. You can always download Pie Control from the appstore, which has a similar function (minus the stylus specific applications, of course).

I'd just loose other anyhow. Don't want one.

I've used my Note 5 for a week plus & it seems that the S Pen as said is to differentiate the Note series & Edge series. That's all. By the way, the S Edge + looks sooo cool.

I think it really comes down whether or not the Note 5 is for you ... S pen is just a bonus. I wanted a larger phone and I thought I would have to go with the new Note, even tho I thought I didn't need all the features. And then ... here comes the Galaxy S6 Edge+. I purchased the Edge+ and I'm very happy with it. No S pen ... didn't mean a thing to me.
