Is the monthly rate increase definate?

Got a response from VM today about price increases. I was basically told that you would be grandfathered in if they ever do raise plan prices. However, for example, if you have the 25.00 month plan and they increase prices you will be fine but if 300 minutes is no longer enough and you need 1200 talk minutes, you will have to pay the new price for the 1200 minute plan. So if you have a monthly autopay plan and prices go up you will be good but if you have to change plans because you need more minutes or what not then you will pay new price. No indication that plan prices are going to change though. Hope this helps.
 
I am not sure how it would work with top up cards. The only thing that I can figure is that top up cards ( 25,40,60 ) would change in price maybe? I can just go by what it sounds like if someone is enrolled in a monthly plan that gets billed monthly by VM to a credit/debit card or paypal account. ANd all of this is according to a VM rep that hopefully knows what their talking about.

The top-up card used to be $20. If VM plans to increase the price in year or so i would imagine it'll go from $25 to $30. Compared to a friend of mine who is paying $90/month on her T-Mobile touch phone I say $25 or $30/month is still the best deal lol. And my friend's T-Mobile phone is not even Android and about the size of lg rumor touch.

I just emailed VM again about this price increase rumor. I hope they tell me current customers will be grandfathered like they did before. I guess we will find out.

Well I guess I was right. Current VM customers will be granfathered in as long as your a customer before July 19th. So I guess everyone should make sure they have the plan they want before the above mentioned date. I am glad they decided to grandfather current customers.
 
My wife has the Kyocera X-tc (which has horrid web capabilities) but I moved her from the paylo (she uses ~$13 a month texting) to the Beyond Talk so when I decide to get her an Optimus she is on the $25 plan.
