Thank you, sir. I really appreciate this.
Helium says for non-root phones.

I really want to use the phone, so I was planning on loading just the basic apps. If Helium will back up the databases, that would help.

Once Color OS gets unified, then I will root. No one has answered about how unifying from Color is uploading yet - I think the 7a got it? Does it wipe everything?

I'd back up and restore with Helium, then root the phone after it's unified, then use Titanium Backup. Since most use TWRP, I had to read up on that.
I've used Clockwork Mod. Anything new, I prefer to understand it first before using it.

There's a lot of stuff I'd love to totally delete - like animated wallpaper, etc. Battery waster and I like my photographs as background, so even a theme is not necessary.

If it's going to take months, then I might unify first using what's on Oppo forum, then root. I think I've found the data files for my apps. Most are OBB and if I can move them via PC, it might help.

I'm in possession of the FIND 7 once again zuben el genub.

Sooooo,if you're still interested in Rooting/ROMMING/etc...... I'll see what I can offer based on what I've done so far (GUMMY TWRP Recovery & CYANOGENMOD 11).

Thanks again.
Been reading over Oppo forum - sometimes too damn much info.

Can't get an answer as to what an update to Color would do. I read through the release notes for Kit Kat when it came out, and saw nothing I really wanted or needed. If the update to Color 2 would unify the phone, I'd be interested.

I've also looked through a pre release for L and that doesn't look very interesting cosmetically, either. No article ever mentions any security.
My phones have looked alike since the Apollo (Galaxy 3) I use my own wallpaper, the ADW launcher since I like Ubuntu icons.

If the release of 2.0 would unify the storage, I might wait to root as it would mean only one step instead of two. Then only a couple of the custom ROMs support unified OS.

So far, the phone is impressive except for battery life. I've disabled most of Google's crap, and installed what I need. I disabled all the wallpapers, and the like. That native file manager is something else. I installed ES File Explorer.

The Oppo is actually pretty good about how it stores apps. It seems to be putting all the OBB files on the storage rather than the first 3 gigabytes. I've loaded most of my programs and have only used about 1.5 G. The Oppo opens all the apps really well. I still have 2 large ones to install and Helium seems like it will work to store the info part of apps.

I will probably see more of the reference type apps I'm interested in, so want the unified drive just in case, and preferably before I put too much stuff on the phone.

The OPPO F7 is your passage to excellent selfies more than ever. The 25MP AI excellence selfie camera catches the specific pith of you by utilizing AI Beauty and Sensor HDR advances.

OPPO F7's execution is 80% higher than its ancestor. With an imposing 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM becoming the overwhelming focus, the F7 runs quick and smooth, as well as does as such with fundamentally less power and a more prominent stockpiling limit so you can store a mess more on your gadget.
