Mine has not been laggy, every once in awhile it will slow down a little but it speeds right back up. Running 3.1 I have used the snot out of mine and it seems to be doing well. The camera could be a 'little' better, but for as often as I will use it it does not bother me all that much. It takes great photos, but in lower light it tends to get that camera phone haze.

Mine is a 16gb that I have a 32gb micro SD also installed.

I have not noticed any between home screens. I do have the dock, but I also have a 32gb Microsd installed in the side of the tablet for extra storage.

I can still attach another SD card in the dock, or use USB sticks or a USB hard drive as well.

Honeycomb homescreen transitions arent as instant and buttery smooth as iOS transitions on the iPad2 are, there is a tiny bit of lag on all Honeycomb tablets that I have seen.

Having said that, the transformer on 3.1 is very very close, its very smooth and the lag isnt an issue at all. Using a static wallpaper and turning off window animations in settings makes it almost perfect.

I got my Transformer with Dock as I needed to replace my IBM thinkpad X60 which was expiring and wanted atablet as well as a notebook.

I have to say I can find nothing to complain about the Transformer It boots fast and having so many input options is really handy and when I add a mouse its just about perfect I have not experienced any lagging whatsoever in either tablet or notebook mode.

I still need to sort out printing and I would like to be able to connect a DVD drive so I can watch films but if its not possible then I will just get some decent ripping/ conversion SW and load to microSD my music collection is all mp3 so thats no problem.

If I have one niggle its the truly dreadful google music app I really cannot get along with it!

is 3.1 good enough for me to try to manually load it? or should I just wait for OTA? just got my transformer Wednesday and been using the Apple Airport wifi at work and when I check it says no update is available. but I did download the 3.1 update onto a formated blank sd card, both the zip and un-zipped files are on it. do I just put that into my transformer and it'll recognize it? sorry, total noob here

Edit: so far I'm loving the Transformer for $400 it's worth it so far, but I want to play and learn more about developing for apps so I got it for rooting and stuff which I'll get to in a bit just want to experience stock for awhile first

Try going into the settings and telling it to manually look for system updates.
