Is there a better way of flashing HTC EVO 4g from sprint to boost mobile.?

The guide was written quite some time ago, since then the process has become fairly easy.Does any one know of different ways of flashing from sprint to boost mobile? I have a guide but its kinda complicated. Also, about the donor phones, does it only have to be a Sanyo Incognito or the Rant?
No the incog, and rant is the easiest but its not the only, samsung galaxy prevail, and several others, someone made a list its probably lost in the pages of the thread the guide is posted in.

Sanyo Incognito and Rant are both dumb phones. Using them to flash a smartphone is practically a red flag for carriers to boot you.

Preferably, something close to the device you intend to flash. Also, devices that you legally own. Or this thread will get black and white real quick.

Many people have used them dumb phone's for years i don't know if boost has started cracking down on it though

Say you pay 200$ for a phone and $50 for the donor. Because dumb phones handle data differently than smart phones the carrier could tell pretty easy. They could turn your device off the day you activated, many months later, or perhaps never. Can you afford the risk? So limit it the best you can by using another smartphone. Prevails should be cheap, but you'll never get 4G.

Maybe, but the goals are the same. With some phones it's harder to get values like the HA and AAA keys needed to flash. It's best to find a guide using the phones you have. But, the steps should be similar.
The steps writing those values to your Evo will be same though.
