i just want a shortcut icon or a small widget where i can click on it and it goes straight to your call log, its a pain clicking on contacts or phone and than having to click on call log everytime

i never use the dial pad only contact, favs, and the call log pretty much

so can someone please help me out :)

I don't see why you can't just hit the Phone icon and then call log. I don't know of any app or widget that will do it otherwise.

try downloading "anycut" and see if that app offers that ability. I uninstalled so not sure if it can.

You can press and hold home screen click on shortcuts then direct dial or direct message to put some of your most used contacts on the home screen and it calls with one touch..not sure if that will benefit you at all.

i still wish you could do a shortcut to the regular call log. You can shortcut to the dialer (default) and the contacts. but you can't shortcut to the Call Log and the favorites. sucks that i have to use an app to do this. at least we have the option to use an app i guess.

I get irritated by the unhelpful suggestions that people need to just quietly 'put up' with the shortcommings of this mostly brilliant device. My old lg8300 would be ringing through to a client before my droid even dials. Its just about bad enough for me to get another line for dialing on the go because I have enough stress working mad hours without extra mental accomodation of my phone!!! I am surprised how tenths of a second can break my flow but I'm also kinds surprised more people don't seem to feel the same way.

I get irritated hearing how the simplest things irritate people. Maybe I'm just old. I used to think the communicators and tricorders from Star Trek would be pretty cool, now we have them.

Won't be too long before people complain that you can't just imagine something for it to happen.

Lol. Old and dead thread that the OP has already found a solution to.

+1 for Dialer One if anyone else is curious.

In case anyone's still wondering, here's an easy no-app-to-install method to get a shortcut for call logs, using LauncherPro:

Long press (on home screen) -> shortcuts -> activities -> (list takes a while to load) scroll to Phone -> Click the first "Call Log" (com.sec.android.app.dialertab.calllog.LogsListActivity.

That should put a shortcut on the home screen.

I'm pretty sure using this method you can create a shortcut to practically anything.
