Root is there a custom kernel or rom to overclock SetCpu?

hey i have a galaxy indulge and Ive rooted it and all but for some reason the MHz only goes to 1000 max and min, i was wondering if there's a custom kernel or anything that i can use to overclock, or is that not available yet for galaxy indulge phones?

ah ok cool one more question so when it does come out i can install it with ease, if you have a rom already in your phone (I think i have basix or cm one of those 2) do i have to delete it and then add the basix or can i just install it without any damage or problems to my phone
