Is there a GOOD full screen, callerID which is free?

Is TrueCaller - CallerID the kinda application that your looking for?

Thanks, but no. Basically I'm looking for the full screen, caller ID picture of whose calling but with the buttons to go to speaker, dialpad, conference, etc... I have "full screen caller ID" free app but the pictures dont look good, and there seem to be issues with it....

Doesn't the stock phone application do this if you have pictures set in your contacts?

I have hundreds of contacts' phone numbers. I only have images of a couple dozen of those contacts. Relatives and close friends. Should I go around taking pictures of everybody, including Joe the plumber now?

For me name and number are enough caller ID.

Besides: blocked/'private' numbers and numbers not in my phonebook go straight to my voicemail anyway. Courtesy of the free 'Mr. Number Call Block' app. If it's someone who really needs me they'll leave a message. If not: even better. That was probably a 'marketeer' from India or a debt collector anyway!
:D

Hmm... Maybe I'm missing it - but I don't see an app suggestion in there?

Facebook and Gmail sync with your contact book, so most of my phonebook has a picture due to that.

Thanks for helping!

Same here. My samsung captivate shows about a 1" x 1" picture. This is one thing the iphone did well!
And so did symbian/s40 ages ago.

If not full screen (this may be difficult as the small pics would get blurry when enlarged to the full screen) at least a decent sized image should be displayed.

I am embarrassed to say I remember that!! Yes, it would nice to have this feature on our phone today!! (Or at least in app form). I did download Full Screen - Caller ID, the free version, but had numerous difficulties with it. Cant comment on the paid version... If it (the paid version) performed like it implies, it sounds like it would do the trick. Anyone have it?

I have the paid version of Full Screen Caller ID.....love it. Does exactly what I want it to do. Pictures aren't blurred..but in their full high-quality glory. I never understood why the contact pictures are so small by default on phones these days......I want a big HD pic to appear when a friend calls....not some little tiny thing.

Are your contact pics on the phone or google contact synced?

Very few had any good things to say about the only FS Caller ID app available.

Not wanting to get drawn into a fight here but ....

.... look at ... Mr. Number Call Block - Android ...

And I'm with Howdie here. Can't be faffed with getting pictures of everybody in my contacts list (car dealers, motorcycle dealers, doctor's surgery, my lad's school etc etc You get the idea). Name and number is fine by me at the moment, though I'm leaning towards the idea of full screen pictures as I'm at the age where reading glasses are needed ... Even though I have a Desire HD with it's ginormous screen ....

All my contacts are saved to my Google email. The pictures I chose for the contacts are stored directly on my phone (I use Avatar'ish contact pictures).....Really though, I don't have anything bad to say about the app. I admit, I do not use any of the advanced sync type features that grab pictures from Facebook or other external sources.....there may be issues there...but I don't care about it.

I am also interested in the kind of app the OP is asking about. I hope there is one that offers high quality larger pictures, for free or for pay.

Bump....Any update on this??
Would love a full screen caller ID. Mine is quite bad. My pics come all disfigured for some reason and it's ugly. All the ones I tried were pretty slow and sometimes unresponsive
