Is there a OTG rigid adapter (not dongle)?

Hey guys, I'm looking at a future Nexus 7 (next version) purchase. The lack of built-in micro-SD slot is going to be sore spot.

I am aware that there are a lot of OTG-USB cable options out there, but it's not my idea of an ideal solution. Browsing and watching on the tablet with an unsightly dongle hanging off it just seems so... ghetto. And practically speaking it limits the ways you can hold it, and be a visual distraction.

So I'm wondering if there is someone out there that makes a rigid adapter/base that plugs into the bottom of the Nexus 7, and snugly snaps onto the Nexus 7, and basically turns the Nexus 7 into a slightly longer tablet with a seemingly bigger bottom bezel, but with microSD slot built-in, and/or an additional USB slot to boot. For completeness it will also come with its own microUSB at its bottom so that the nexus 7 can be charged without un-plugging this adapter.

This I think is a much more elegant solution than a dongle. It's something you can leave on the Nexus 7 at all times, with a microSD card always there.

If nothing like this exists, I'm hoping that someone reading this can turn this into a kick-starter project?

I always thought a case with a micro SD slot and usb connector built in would be the best way to go, but I haven't seen anything like that.

There are several devices around that work more or less the way you say, but none that I know of designed specifically for the Nexus 7.

Here's the sort of thing I mean:
