Is there a quicker way to launch recording/camera mode?

I'd like to click an app and have it automatically start recording. It will save me one click, but worth it if there's an app out there

I don't know of any app that lets you do alone. I bought a device called a Pressy that is a little button that goes into your headphone jack. That along with it's software allows you to program the phone to do a number of tasks with a simple press of the button. What's really nice is it can do it's functions on the sly but only if you do not use any sort of security to open your phone like a pin or password or swipe code. But if you have it set on simple swipe to unlock you can make it do many things.

For instance on mine a single short press opens my preferred calculator. Two short presses opens my preferred guitar tuner. Three short presses takes a photo (front, back or both cameras) without the screen even turning on. Then there's long presses and combinations of short and long presses - although those are tougher to get to work. I have the phone set up to start taking video with a long press and start to record audio with two long presses - all without any indication on the phone that anything is going on. It's not exactly a speed demon, but all things considered, it's a pretty slick idea that works fairly well.

So if you need it for speed, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for stealth, check it out.
