as in you want NO animation at all? / blank screen?

removing the animation won't make the phone suddenly start up way faster... its working in the background while that is playing.

Actually I think he means if you have to use the custom boot animation that cones with the ROM... Which you do not. If you buy root explorer, you can look online for the stock boot animation for it and apply it.

Yup if your rooted their are tons of boot animations you can use (look or search on XDA in the android themes forum). All you do if put the zip in data or system media (depending on where the original boot animation file is), remove the old one and rename the new zip to bootanimation. Do a backup first incase you screw up.
