Is there a way to know a person's current country location through his/her number or whatsapp?

I am not talking about the country code in front of the person phone. Im asking if there's a way to know if the person is for example currently in Japan or in China or somewhere else.

Of course, without asking them directly. Is there anyway to find out?

Just guessing....

since you are referring to a data service you can do this. If you can trace the IP path back to the originating server.

No clue if such an app or workaround exists. the whatsapp app doesn't do it, but it is technically possible.
