Root Is there a way to make sure my Nandroid backup works properly when I go to restore it?

I swear for some reason only like 75% of my Nandroid backups (twrp) let me restore them back without having an error. I wanna be able to have a solid restore point without worrying I'm gonna wipe everything. Please let me know if this happens to you or maybe there's a full roof way. Thanks.

Don't take this as a smartass answer.

To verify a Android backup works you need to wipe the system, data, cache and dalvik cache and then restore from said nandroid. If it boots normally then you are shiney, if it doesn't you are screwed.

Alright, I guess I just thought that it did that automatically when u go to restore a backup. Now I'm even having problems backing up a nandroid. It gets an error right when it goes to start backing up data. Its driving me crazy.

Sounds like you have a memory error. What is the error saying?

Sounds like SD is wearing out..

Actually twrp does wipe all the areas it writes to when you restore a backup. For instance, it will wipe system then restore system. Then it wipes data(this includes dalvik-cache) and restores data. If your backup included cache then it will wipe then restore cache also. Then it flashes the boot image. You can wipe system cache data and dalvik before you restore a backup if you want to but you're just wiping everything twice when you do.
