Is there a way to remove the 2.2 update?

title says it all. i manually installed froyo and it is so buggy there is definatly a problem, now i am seeing that they may be holding off on releasing the OTA. so i ask... Is there a way to remove the 2.2 update? and go back to my 2.1?

From what I've read, it can be done but it would involve going back to 2.01, then installing 2.1 again. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Using RSD Lite you can go back. But from what I am hearing if you do and then you wipe you will have problems with the Wifi and BT radio not working.

Go to this post and go about half-way down. There is a quick tutorial on how to flash your phone back to stock 2.0, 2.0.1, or 2.1.

I think you could just find the update.zip for the official 2.1 and just manually install it and you should be fine.

But that's after you're on 2.0.1, of course. You can't go down straight from 2.2 to 2.1.
