Root Is there a way?

Hey all I've been trying to make my status bar transparent but keep failing I can do colors like green and blue etc but transparent doesn't want to work for some reason

Get xposedinstaller then download the module transparent status bar (you need root)

I don't see that in the list that came up am I missing something?

Get gravitybox and there should be an option to change it to teansparent
