Help Is there an app that over-rides the source of notification sounds?

I really would love to find some way to have the sounds play through my headphones when they are plugged in instead of the phone speaker. Does anyone know of an app that does this? I really dont mind if its a paid app, I just cant stand having everything play through the speaker when my headphones are in. Thank you!

If the headset is plugged in it should play through the headset unless you turned it off.

Don't think I turned anything off. From what I've read this is abnormal samsung thing. I've looked through every menu in the phone but it always plays through the rear speaker (sometimes the headphones as well as the rear speaker).

It's an ICS thing, not Samsung specific. At least I noticed it while running CM9 (ics rom) on my DX too. Even with the headphones plugged in the notification sounds still play through the phone.

I would like to see all phone speaker output cut out when an external speaker is hooked up. This morning I had the briefing alarm set but my phone was echoing all over the place because I had my bluetooth speaker paired with it. Ruined the whole experience.

Yeah...hopefully somone creates an app for this because it is downright annoying. Wish it was an optional feature >.<
