Root Is there any OC guide for Sense?

I've only seen the guide for Cm7 (http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-all-things-root/347684-kernel-optimusm-oc-stock-2-2-1-a.html)

but I couldn't find something to OC my sense rom by joneidy,2.2.1
using 2.2.1 custom rom from this: http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-...nally-custom-recovery-2-2-1-stock-phones.html

does anyone know if it exist?
Go ahead and install SetCPU from the Market.
Flash the any rom version in the second post of the kernel thread.
Once up and running, open SetCPU and set your clock speed to 729/248 ondemand, anything over 729 and the phone might become unstable.
Then explore the profile settings in SetCPU and set them to your liking.

I would submit that it still applies that each phone's processor is going to vary a little bit on the nano-level of things, and so each person will be able to overclock more or less accordingly. I can run 748 okay without it rebooting, so generally it's 245/748 on demand. Some have had fine luck at 800+. I would say if you want to go much beyond 729, do it one increment at a time, and run some tests. Do a stress test, or run a Quadrant Standard test or something. If it can't hack it, notch the speed back down a bit each time until it can. After that if you observe irregular behavior like reboots and such that didn't happen before, notch it down again.

I was gonna say the same thing about the processors. Mine runs stable at 806 daily but I know some people who can't go past 729. The dude is right on about finding out what you can and can't run it at.

I can admit that I am just learning this within the last 24 hours and its still kinda greek to me, I thought that I had read that if you set it to a high mhz then had a stress test last ten minutes or longer that that mhz would be stable for the phone...here are my numbers for my last stress test

825mhz

start time-2:24 am

battery-84%

test lasted for 643223ms with no errors

FORCED end time-2:35 am

battery-80%

looked good to me since no reboot so I assumed I was stable at 825 mhz, so I opened up the market to download quadrant and as soon as it opened my screen froze for like 15 seconds then the phone rebooted...so am I missing a step here or is the stress test not as reliable as most posts state?

The stress test is buttkiss. For this reason, I suggest to people "real world usage" to stress out their phone. The Market, browser, and games put more stress on the CPU than the test, lol. If you can run two of these simultaneously, you have better chances of being "stable".

Yes, Unfortunately after spending over 24 hours reading through the forums I must have been tired and I over read someone else telling me the same thing...I imagine that jumping from 600 to 768 could make all the difference in the world so even though I feel stable at 825 I have dropped max to 768 and min. 748.

While I'm not using the Sense ROM at the moment (I'm running Aplus 2.2 v1.1), I found that I can safely run at 748 (I use CPU Master Free v1.7, 'cause it's free). I tried a setting above that (can't remember now what it was) and then tried to open an app and it froze and then rebooted. One thing about CPU Master (and maybe it's only in the free version, I don't know) is that it has a feature that upon reboot, the setting reverts back to the standard 600 Mhz. I then just go back in and set it to where I want it and hit apply.

Although I would recommend donating a few bucks for it setcpu is obtainable at no cost. I am not sure if I should link to other sites so I will just say Google setcpu free xda. It is free for anyone who registers at xda forums.
