is there any way to disable the volume button?

I was listening to the music through the music player, turned off the screen, and put the phone in the pocket. While I was moving the phone, I accidentally pressed the volume button and the music volume got really loud and it freaked me out. Is there a way to disable the volume button while the screen is off?

I also wish there was a way to do this but no... What happens to me all the time is I have the phone on vibrate and go to put it in my holder and accidentally press the volume up button which in turn sets the phone back to RING. I usually find out my mistake when it starts to ring in a meeting..DOH!!!!!!

I dont know if this will do what you require but there is an app called taskbomb that has a volume changer additional app. Maybe you can set this to set the volume every few minutes? Theres also the Profile app that allows you to set the volume.

If you use "Audiomanager" and mute the phone with it, it disables the volume buttons.

I like it because without it, if you accidentally hit the volume buttons while muted, it takes it off mute. Very bad for business meetings!

A recent update had messed up a good app, but they fixed it right away! Works great now!

Persist (Volume Control) can help prevent accidental volume changes. Unlike AudioManager, it's more flexible because it lets you lock the volume levels individually.
