Is there any way to stop alarms vibrating?

Is there any way to stop the alarms vibrating?
I've got the vibrate setting to ' never' under sound settings, tried putting the phone in silent mode, tried alarm settings. It still vibrates when an alarm goes off. I use the alarms and organiser a lot. I'll end up getting called into an unscheduled meeting and the phone starts vibrating. The only solutions seem to be either not using the alarms or taking the battery out.

Anyone know if there's a setting I've missed? It's annoying - when I put the thing in silent mode, I want it silent - not buzzing! I'm using 2.3.6

In the own alarm set up, there is the option to vibrate, vibrate & ring or just ring.

Have you tried that?

That's it. . . I thought there had to be a way to stop it somewhere. . . Cheers!
