is there anyway to ...

disable the home back & search buttons at all?

my 18month old loves watching vids on my DHD but has a nasty habit of pressing the buttons whilst holding the device leaving me restart everything all the time

my question is, is there any app or setting that would disable these buttons on a temp basis?

I'd the same issue with my little man, I give him the phone to watch things in the back of the car when we go on long journies. He's a little older and he's now learnt to hold the back of phone or leave it on his lap.

I know there's an app called Tasker that you can configure to do certain things in certain scenarios; kinda like when X happens, disable Y & Z, but I've never tried it myself so don't know if it goes to that level of configurability.

If you disabled those buttons though, how would you exit the video when you wanted to use your handset?

I'm no expert with tasker, but I just had a look and I don't see a way to disable the buttons.

I click them accidentally sometimes too, really annoying when you click something near the edge of the page and it exits!
