In my experience, I have never seen a virus on my droid, but have seen plenty of freeware barnacles that do stuff just like what he

True. I just have one 'cause I get paranoid sometimes, but truthfully you don't really need an AV. I should just uninstall mine then.

I have been using all of the go apps for almost 2 years now with no problems, I have never seen adds because of Go apps. I use Go launcher, weather, widgets, contacts, dialer, sms.....

If possible pay for apps. It's worth it. A couple of dollars cash spare many headaches. Many free apps have ad banners which lag or use up data. Others go one level farther and sneak in nasties like Airpush

I had this prob with my new Huawei Nova Si and found it was the Boost+ app. Deleted it and they stopped.

I found the cause on mine was the app Boost +
