Help Is this feature HTC Specific?

MuddVille

Lurker
I have had an EVo 4g for the some time and I have really become accustom to the feature while viewing web pages. When you magnify a web page the phone will recalibrate the text to fit in the screen, so you don't have to move the page left or right to read it.

I just got my Samsung S3 and it doesn't do the same while I viewing the web.

I thought it was an Android feature but not sure or is this just an HTC feature?

is there an app that will do this?

Thank you all.

Are you refering to text reflow function? Most of the browser I use have it. Double tap the page area you wish to read usually does it on my galaxy S2 with dolphin browser.
Check your browser options.

Stock browser and Chrome have it on my Nexus. Htc browser and the stock Android browser had it on my Desire.

Some are better at it than others

I didn't realise there was an option to turn off text reflow. The stock browsers on my HTC Desire Z and Asus Eee Pad Transformer does text reflow automatically.

text wrapping. sony ericsson supports it too. you can use opera mobile, its a pretty good browser

That and a few other reasons why I return my Samsung Galaxy S2... . Even when I enabled "fit to screen or whatever name it was" feature, it just wasn't the same as my HTC Evo 3d.

BTW, welcome to AF. I've also moved your thread to its area of support to hear what other users of this device has to say.

To be honest, I do not recall if this happened with my default browser. I almost always use Dolphin Browser and it most certainly does this on my Xperia S.
