Help Is this Google Play Store safe to install?

Okay I've noticed there's a new version of Google Play Store available that's 14.0.33-all[0] [PR] 238546948 and I need to know is it safe to install because I didn't see it in Google Play store for an update. I'm currently running version 13.9 .17-all[0] [PR] 236777123.:thinking:
 
Maybe it's because the newer version isn't compatible with your device and its current Android version.

Playstore knows when to stop updating apps on incompatible devices.

Then I'd have to agree with @lvt , it's probably for Pie and not compatible with older versions of Android. Or, it could be a regional roll-out by Google and just hasn't reached you yet? Why the rush?

Well I read the virant it's 4.0+ Target 8.1.0 so I thought it was a good idea because the targeted virant is my OS
 
You're not trying to do some DIY hack or mod of the Google Play app are you? Which you might need to do if you got a China variant phone or tablet.

No I have installed it now its working perfectly on my device and I got it from apkmirror.
