Is this phone worth it?

I can get a brand new HTC One SV at 210 or so with tax. It's probably 230 altogether.


Yes, I did read the review but I always love feedback. What do you guys think of the phone? Is it good? Or is it a garbage phone?


Anyone want to do a user review for me? It's between this and the Optimus F7.


Please don't move this thread to a device comparison forums because I'm not asking for that. I'm only asking about how the phone is on the HTC One SV forums where people actually use the phone.

I like my One SV. It's smooth and fast. The only thing I would say is make sure that you have a good signal in your area. It picks up a radio signal ok but not as well as some of the other Boost phones I've had. That is the only bad thing I have to say about the phone. Those who are in good signal areas report no problems. Also, if you are in an area that has 4G LTE then you are set. I've seen some of the download speeds some of the guys have posted and they are getting some incredible DL speeds.

As far as performance, I'd give it two thumbs up. It has been able to play all of the intense graphic games I've played on it with ease. It can handle just about everything I throw at it with no lag at all.

Also, keep in mind that this phone comes with Sense. No de-Sensed ROMs have been released for it yet but they are in the works. Hopefully we'll be seeing them soon.

What's even better, we are expecting a few custom ROMs. A few of the devs have been working on them for awhile now.

We also have CWM and TWRP custom recoveries. Moonshine's S-Off too!

So the only flaw is weak radio?

The speaker also isn't loud but aside from that and the weak radio (though I think right now its tower based for some)

Yeah. As far as I'm concerned it's the only thing I don't like. As for the speaker, there is a speaker tweak that O_splatterhand posted about that makes it louder. I tried it and it works. If anyone is interested in the speaker tweak contact him or let me know. I'll post a link for it. I definitely noticed a change in my volume. It involves involves replacing a file and using the app Speaker+. Everything needed is in the original post.

I went ahead and went back and looked the link up for you guys.

Some say they heard a difference while others didn't. Me, I heard a difference. I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS CORRECTLY TOO!!! That is usually the reason people don't see any change when trying a MOD that works for others.

It is what it is and I tell it like it is. And that my friends is the bottom line! lol :hahaha:ound:
