How bout an app, that when someone asks to see your phone, you quickly press the app, and all your messages and photos are hidden. So no one can super lurk your stuff and you don't have to worry about what they're looking at...
 
Exactly, i hate when ppl ask to see my phone and start looking through messages and stuff. And I'm sure im not the only one. Especially with the threaded text, they can see your whole convo instead of a few texts back and forth.
 
My sister-in-law did this last week, and for the first time in almost 10 years, I hated her. LOL She had tried to mess with it earlier; I knew because she mentioned that I had some kind of passcode thing...I was like, yeah. Well, probably 30 minutes later I was playing on my phone (probably browsing these forums LOL) and got distracted for like 2 minutes. Came back and she was all over my phone!

I'd definitely appreciate a feature like this, for dealing with ridiculously nosy @ss people. For now, I might just re-enable the dock bars in PandaHome and hide links to my email and text messages in there.

But in all seriousness, I wouldn't mind something like this either. Especially when you're with your chick and you're talking to another chick. Not saying that us men cheat... but it'd just prevent our girl worrying... yeah let's go with that. ;)

Personally, id love something like this. Right now I don't let anyone play with my Droid, not even my wife. Its always within 6" from my grasp!

Sorry, but you started it. Have to say my first thought was glad I'm not your wirfe! 2nd thought was if I had a marriage like that (won't let my wife (anything), I wouldn't be your wife for long!
 
LOL we have a mutual agreement, unless she needs me to fix her laptop I don't touch it, I just don't want any accidental changes. Question are you originally from Naples? If so did you goto NHS,LHS, or BCHS? I graduated from Naples high class of 97, but my freshman year I went to Barron Collier.
 
lol this would be very useful for me too. I don't have any secrets from my BF, but our friends and family don't need to know about any of those non-secrets haha.

No, I moved to Naples right after graduating in Milwaukee, WI area. Lived in Mission Viejo, CA also. How do you like Tennesee? Guess my answer/question belongs in a private message, but you were offline.
 
I had seen an app that simulated a cracked LCD screen. I will try to find it. Once you turned it on most buttons would not function. Only the home button.
 
Hmm, I agree, I have nothing to hide from my girlfriend but when someone looks through my messenger I want to stab them.
 
I would like app specific passcodes (similar to LockDown on Cydia but with the pattern instead of a number).

Then maybe an app I can tap to enable it.

I don't know about you guys... it would never occur to me to want to hide my converations. I don't lie and I don't talk behind people's backs and I don't have anything to hide. Hopefully I have this all wrong and I'm just missing something. :confused:
 
If you have a phone like the hero(not sure what other models have this) make a new "scene" or profile without your message/picture/private shortcuts.
 
Well I would think that it wont be long before someone creates this app. And when they do, itll probably be their meal ticket to Hell for helping people "hide" bad things :-p lol. Im just kidding! My phone is completely open to my wife, but sometimes she sends me some naughty pictures while im at work and I like to save them ;-). One time her brother just picked up my phone and started going through it and i hadnt clicked "hide" on the recent pics she had sent me and he sure enough ran into them!!!! He was grossed out and I thought it was hilarious! I told him "shouldnt be going through something that doesnt belong to you without permission!"
