Help Is this possible re: having 2 keyboard settings?

I would absolutely love it if I could use the Android keyboard in landscape mode & Swype in portrait mode, without having to manually switch the settings each time. Can I do this??

Doubtful.
I tried out Swiftkey this weekend and really liked it.
But I am leery about purchasing it knowing that Google just bought the rights.
I am assuming they are going to re-vamp it and make it the android default keyboard.

I seem to recall an experimental mod over at xda that did this...can't seem to find it now. At any rate, it was buggy. I don't know of anything else to do this right now.

That would be a cool feature. Don't know if it is possible.

But, have you tried the samsung keyboard, I think it's the samsung one, where in landscape its a normal keyboard, then in portrait its XT9!
I can type soooooo fast using XT9 in portrait.

I don't use swype, I don't like it anymore, I liked it for about a week, then discovered how awesome XT9 is in portrait mode! And it flips back to a normal keyboard when you put into landscape!
