i was told, Unfortunately The Process Com.Android.Phone Has Stopped Error was a phone hardware issue, not software. is it true? The phone needs to be replaced, error cant be fixed. Is this an up-sell technique or true. My phone now doesn't work at all because of constant error message dialog box.

It might help if you told us what model phone you have and which version of Android it's running.

But offhand the first thing I'd try is going to your Settings >> Application manager, swipe over to the 'All' section, and scroll down to the 'Phone' app. Select it, tap on the 'Force Stop' button, and then the 'Clear data' button. Now launch the Phone app again to see if that error still pops up.

Ouch. OK now I see what you mean. Hate to just abandon an ailing phone but the Sharp Aquos Crystal is selling for like $50-60 on swappa.com. I don't know how much time and effort, and money, you'll want to put into it.

Most importantly, do you have backups of your personal data?
Can you even get into Safe Mode at this point? I just took a peek at the user manual for your model and it doesn't appear to even refer to it. (mostly just fluff anyway).
