Say gang . . . Are there ways to run an .iso file without burning it to a CD? I could Google the answer, but I think you are allot smarter than Google.

By the way, did you know that Mr. Google uses Bing to find the answers? Nope, it is absolutely true. I did not know it either, go figure.

There must be a way to do this.

It's been a while since I've done it, but I recall using Daemon Tools to mount my iso/bin files. It will create a virtual drive whilst the image is mounted.

If that's not what you're looking for, I think Winrar will open iso files too?

You can also extract .iso files with 7zip. Depends on what the iso is though

depending on what it is you can use a usb flash drive to "Burn" the iso to and then if you don't like what your running delete it off the drive. I guess the biggest thing is what are you wanting to do? Fedora will automount iso I believe a few other distro's do the same. Acetone may work for you as well.

You just need a ISO mounting program (to create a virtual drive). There are many freeware ones on the 'net. Personally I use PowerISO.

Another +1 for Daemon Tools. Also Win 8 now includes the ability to mount ISO files to a drive letter natively.

Sure: `mnt -t iso -o loop /path/to/file.iso /mnt/cdrom'

I knew MS Bing used Google but haven't heard Google is using Bing.

Didnt see it mentioned but Virtual Clone Drive is what I use. I remember the last time I tried a bunch of the others (Nero, Alcohol, Daemon) they seemed laden with adware and nonsense. This was awhile ago though.

That's my fallback for computers that aren't really mine but I need to mount an ISO ASAP. I carry it on my phone and a USB drive. VERY handy.
