Root Issue getting into Market after Update to CM 7.1

Ok...

Just updated my Nook Color with CM 7.1....

everything went smooth...

Now as I try to access the market.. I get "You must add an account to the device to continue. Do you want to add one now?"

I tell it yes....

Then it drops back to my home screen...

So, how do I add my account back in? I know it's easy... Just can't figure it out...

Ok...

Should always know to be specific.

I upgraded from CM 7.0.3 to CM 7.1 stable.

I did not update the Gapps as the "quick and dirty" indicated that I didn't need to if I was going from 7.0.3 to 7.1

I did wipe dalvik.

Sounds like I should update that to time-since-last-update and previous-version. I usually update gApps, but one time in 4 I don't. My updates are usually a couple weeks apart so gApps on the rom is already the same version.

Did you make a backup that you can restore and try it again with gApps?

Second option would be just to flash gApps (download rom) from Rom Manager (or recovery) but I suspect your version of RM might be too old to let you do that.

Using ROM MANAGER v4.5.0.1

I did a complete backup before flash the new CM 7.1

Just kind of new to having this type of issue, so I'm a tad nervous!

One guy on XDA said he couldn't get into market until he flashed gApps 0828 so try opening RM and see if you can update your gApps from "Download Rom". The actual error wasn't specified tho. :D

If RM won't work w/o updating, you'll want to download it to your computer and copy to the hard drive and flash it from recovery. CM guide tells how to use recovery.

Yes....

I used Rom Manager....

I downloaded the 0828 and installed (wiping dalvik).

Once the Nook rebooted it ask me to go through the set up (which included my google info). Once the google info was inputted, I was 100% to all good!

crap, had the same issue myself yesterday. I just wiped data and cache and started over from scratch.

I've only had it running for about 2 weeks so didn't lose anything important.

Definitely a learn as go setup.

I updated my Gapps with CM7.1, and all is well. I can even rent movies now.

I haven't noticed wether or not it's blockng applications from showing in my market yet, though.

YOU'RE STILL ALIVE!

I was starting to wonder what happened to you.

I'm unimpressed with the new market. More than half my screen is taken over by whatever app has focus. Same thing on my TouchPad.

Yup, still kickin'. :-) my lady has been keeping me busy...

The new market was ticking me off, too. I changed my DPI back to 161 and it looks much better in my opinion. Also, some of my widgets don't display properly with 160, but display fine at 161 so that's where I'll keep it.

Funny, I've been running with 161 the entire time and not once had an issue with Marketplace, other than certain apps not showing.

160 dpi supposedly fixes certain apps not showing up in Market.

I know when I changed to 160 a bunch of app updates showed up.
