Issue in pattern lock and Camera

Hi,
I bought Samsung galaxy S2 GT-I9100 from US. Lately I found that pattern lock is not working. Infact its not accepting the pattern lock. And the camera is'nt working. If I happen to update the software. I get an error message saying that " your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via kies".
Please help me on this issue.

So, as it stands now, you cannot get past the lockscreen because the pattern unlock will not work?
