issue of network speed

I found my phone taking only 147Kbps download speed, so did I am using 2G service? if so, as I am thinking of upgrade a plan to 3G, so article say I should
get over 8-10 MB/s, is it true? so the speed will increase from 147 KB/s to 8-10Mbps, there is the speed I want, of course, my cell phone support HSDPA:DL 7.2 Mbps / UL 384Kbps.

did there any thing should I concern in upgrade the plan? such as will it work on the speed over Mbps

That's max possible speed. There are times when service is bad, then there are places where there is no 3G signal...

You cannot get better download speeds than your device is rated for. If your phone is rated 7.2Mbps as you say it's impossible to get the 8-10Mbps you want regardless of the service you connect to.

And remember, these ratings are actually theroetical maximums. Real-world, expect to get at best about half the speed a device is rated. So a 7.2Mbps rated device will max out at somewhere around 3-3.5Mbps, probably less.

So a 7.2Mbps rated device will max out at somewhere around 3-3.5Mbps,

as my home network is over 100Mbps, so I didn't had any experience on feeling the speed below this range, however, I do feel it from cellphone on 2G, 147Kbps, if I can got 3-3.5Mbps( it's not the speed of 3G, which should be up to 8-10 Mbit/s, my network company is using for the currnet subscription plan), will there be large difference between my network feeling on 147Kbps? hi guy, can give me some example for this?

The WiFi Antenna on your mobile is rated at around 11Mbps downlink, which is standard for hardware that size. You aren't getting 100Mbps.

You will not get 8-10Mbits in real life on 3G, unless you're the only one using the network. There are other people using the signal, so its also standard that when the network says 8-10, you hear 4-5. You'll get higher speeds in off peak hours, like 2am or something like that.
