Help Issue with contact pictures not showing in call log and text messages

Has anyone else had issues with their contact pictures not showing in the text message screen? Or even the call log? I have linked my contacts to facebook and all the linked pictures show up under the contacts app but not in the text message screen nor the call log?! Any solutions??

1. Go to settings > Accounts and sync
2. Delete all the accounts(Well, you don't have to delete twitter or google, but the facebook ones)
3. Reset your phone.
4. Go back into settings > Accounts and sync.
5. Add the facebook account(Under Integrated, not more).
6. To test if this worked, sync a contact to facebook(Long pressing their name, click "Link account", find the account and link them) and then compose a new text message with that contact. Their picture should come up.

Try this. This fixed it for me. Pictures show up in texting and when people call.
 
I don't undestand step 5:
"Add the facebook account(Under Integrated, not more)."

I have android 2.2 and under "Accounts and sync" I only have "add account" option wich shows me facebook, twitter, corporate...
 
i never wrote on a forum before so i hope i am doing this right. it will not accept the pictures that you have synced from facebook. what i had to do was download pics onto my phone then select them as contact images now i have pics next to all of my text and their pics show up when i call them or they call me. step by step i went and saved pics from flikie wallpaper to my phone. then i went into my gallery and hit save as, then selceted contact icon, picked who i wanted his saved and done. :D
 
I've had this problem for a while on my incs and have tried numerous tips from forums to resolve it. Finally realised that the msg app was using contacts from my sim card and therefore wouldn't allow the pictures to show.

Quick fix was to copy all contacts from the sim card and then delete them from the sim. Then either your msg pics will be pulled from your phone contacts or you need to link them to the Facebook/Twitter/gallery photo of your choice.
 
Hi Guys

I've tried the options above but it won't work

In my contacts i see all the facebook pictures but in my text messages i only see names or numbers without the pictures. And i see in my contacts that they are linked.

What to do?
I find it a bit drastic to delete my sim card...


Any other tips?
