Help Issue with photo gallery?

Got my bf this phone which he loves, but one problem has cropped up. The gallery will at times not display any photos and even display a message saying there are no photos to view. With some playing around we found out that having wifi on and connected fixes this. Anyone else notice this? We haven't factory restored it just yet, but I plan on doing so to see if that clears out the issue.

I got mine and my wifes phone about a week ago and have not experianced this. It picked up the pictures on my sd card from my HTC Eris with out so much as a hiccup. You may want to reset your phone to factory and see if that fixes it. If not I would call Tmo.
