Help Issue with SD Card

Something I've been noticing with my Galaxy S4 and the SD card. I'll have the phone plugged in via USB, I'll go to either delete a file or add it only to see that the deleted file will magically reappear and the files I added aren't there anymore.

This has been an on-going issue and it's really annoying. Anyone else have this issue and what did you do about it?

I am with AT&T and I have android 4.4.2

First make sure you are hooked up as a storage device. If you are then I would copy everything to your PC. Then I would do a sd format.

I've done that and reformatted my ad card. The programs reappear on my damn sd card again!!

You don't actually say if you deleting the file using the PC or phone?

If you're deleting the file using an app on the phone it may not 'take' because the PC has the SD locked.

If you're using the PC, try selecting a different option in the USB connection choices on the phone.

I'm deleting it using my PC. What do you mean by selecting a different option in the USB connection choices? Why is it so difficult to do simple things?

After you connect your device to the PC, pull down the notifications on the device. Select the notification that says something about 'USB', you'll have choices of other ways to connect the device to the PC - try them to see what happens.
